New webinar series: Conversations on Language Policy in Africa
Radio language policy in Nigeria is uneven. This webinar will examine multiannual broadcasting as found in Nigerian radio stations. I will explore the implementation by radio stations of the legal positions on the use of various languages. The presentation highlights the nature of implementation and practice. The study argues that while multilingual radio broadcasting in Nigeria is both possible and beneficial, effective implementation is required.
