However, some studies have highlighted that siblings have similar school experiences (Peugny, 2012), and that they even influence each other (Boutchenik &amp; al., 2015). Our research on foster children’s school perseverance aimed to understand the factors that enabled some of them to succeed at school despite the challenges they had faced in childhood. Findings stress the importance of their sense of affiliation with their foster family. This sense of affiliation, notably the relationship built with siblings in the foster family, impacts their school experience.</p> ER -
