Abstract

This paper analyzes Alejandra Pizarnik’s approach to short stories and fairy tales in her published works. All her life the Argentinian writer dreamt about writing prose fiction. The Blood Countess might be the closest incarnation of that dream. This experimental story is a hybrid new text that raises countless questions.
