Abstract

This article offers an approach to the linguistic behaviour and attitudes of first and second year high school students in two secondary schools in A Coruña — IES A Sardiñeira and IES Ramón Menéndez Pidal — which are located in neighbourhoods of different socio-economic background. The data on which we base our study come from 89 sociolinguistic questionnaries that were submitted to the group of adolescents as well as 6 interviews conducted by teachers from both schools.
