Advokatorisches Handeln als Paradigma von Spitalseelsorge und Pflege
Abstract
This article examines advocacy as a central paradigm for both chaplaincy and nursing in the hospital setting. Starting from the philosophical-theological concept of Parrhesia (= frank speech), it develops the thesis that acting on behalf of vulnerable people is a core mission for both professions. The study concludes that chaplaincy and nursing can strengthen their advocacy function through more collaboration and mutual supplementation, thereby optimizing patient-centered care.
