Author Guidelines

BAF Online is a video-journal. Participating as a speaker in our yearly event "Berner Altorientalisches Forum (BAF)" is a pre-requisite to submitting a contribution to BAF Online. The talks are videotaped on that occasion and published as vidcasts in this journal. No fees for submission or publication are being charged.

Conflict of interest

Reviewers, authors and editors must disclose any and all possible financial or non-financial conflict of interest in regard to the manuscript. If unsure, the journal editor should be contacted.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • Foreign content (e.g. illustrations) that has already been published is referenced accordingly. The rights holder of unpublished content has to consent to the publication. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text on publication-slides uses at least a 20-point font.
  • All of the authors involved consent to the publication of the contribution.
  • The talk does not last longer than 10 minutes.
  • The talk is held in English and the author is prepared to provide his/her manuscript for subsequent subtitling if needed.
