Comenianische Impulse für die Seelsorge: Oder: Was die Seelsorge auch heute noch von Comenius lernen kann
Abstract
This contribution explores the extent to which Johann Amos Comenius (1592–1670), primarily known as a »classic of pedagogy«, should be recognized as a practical theologian. By analyzing central writings, this contribution identifies guidelines that establish Comenius as a theorist of practice-oriented piety. It becomes clear that his work can be interpreted as a form of »theological crisis management«, characterized by hope and a holistic view of the human being. Ultimately, the contribution pleads for a rediscovery of Comenius as a pioneer for interdisciplinary theological approaches and as a potential source of impulses for pastoral care.
