This essay aims to examine the collaboration between Vittorio Sereni and Alessandro Parronchi, exploring the successful convergence of their interests on multiple fronts: not only poetry, but also the figurative arts and the publishing sector. It particularly focuses on their collaboration which resulted in the creation of several travel writings for Pirelli Magazine between 1952 and 1958. In these car itineraries, the present evokes the past and the landscapes painted by the great Renaissance masters. The two poets’ shared passion for art would continue to bind them even in the following decade, resulting in the writing of ‘Expertise’ per Vittorio, a work in which Parronchi attempts to continue the dialogue that was abruptly interrupted by Sereni’s death.
Keywords: multiple authorship, letters, interartistic mediator, Pirelli magazine, travel literature.
