“Informationswissenschaft: Theorie, Methode und Praxis / Sciences de l’information: théorie, méthode et pratique” ist eine Open-Access-Zeitschrift, d. h. alle Inhalte sind für den/die NutzerIn kostenlos verfügbar entsprechend der BOAI-Definition von Open Access. BenutzerInnen sind berechtigt, die Volltexte der Artikel zu lesen, herunterzuladen, zu kopieren und für rechtmässige Zwecke zu verwenden. Die vorherige Zustimmung der Herausgeberschaft oder des/der AutorIn müssen dafür nicht eingeholt werden.
Die Inhalte sind durch eine Creative Commons Namensnennung Lizenz (CC BY 4.0) geschützt.

Es hält sich an hohe Standards für ethisches Verhalten und erwartet, dass diese auch von allen an der Veröffentlichung beteiligten Parteien eingehalten werden. Dazu gehören der/die AutorIn, der/die ZeitschriftenredakteurIn, der/die GutachterIn sowie der/die HerausgeberIn. “Informationswissenschaft: Theorie, Methode und Praxis / Sciences de l’information: théorie, méthode et pratique” folgt dabei den Richtlinien des Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) zur Wahrung der wissenschaftlichen Integrität. Bei allfälligen Interessenskonflikten mit AutorInnen entscheidet die Redaktion abschliessend.

This includes the author, journal editor, peer reviewers and publisher. “Informationswissenschaft: Theorie, Methode und Praxis / Sciences de l’information: théorie, méthode et pratique” follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) for the preservation of scientific integrity. In the event of any conflicts of interest with authors, the editorial committee makes the final decision.

Begutachtung / Peer Review
Die in dieser Zeitschrift veröffentlichten Beiträge werden von Redaktionsmitgliedern vorgeschlagen. Dabei handelt es sich vor allem um Masterarbeiten, die mit der Note 5 und besser bewertet wurden. Ausgewählte Masterarbeiten werden nach Längenvorgabe der Redaktion in Artikel umgearbeitet. Nach der Einreichung des Artikels findet eine Begutachtung durch die Redaktionsmitglieder statt. Des Weiteren können Gastdozierende und weitere Fachpersonen zur Publikation eines Artikels eingeladen werden.
Proposed by members of the editorial board, the articles published in this journal are mainly master's theses that have been graded 5 or better. Selected master's theses are rewritten into articles according to the length specifications made by the editorial board. Once submitted, members of the editorial board assess the article. In addition to these publications, guest lecturers and other experts may be invited to publish articles, too.
