Poésie et physiologie végétale au tournant des XVIIIème et XIXème siècles : pour une préhistoire de l’écologie des relations

Abstract

This article may be a step in the constitution of an environmental history of the relationships between science and poetry. The emergence of plant physiology at the turn of the 18^th and 19^th centuries lead scientists to conduct poetic and formal research. Describing the essential link between plant organs and their environment means negotiating a new articulation between the scientific criteria of the emerging discipline and the criteria of poetry. Solutions are then sketched out which could respond to nowadays need to awaken a new interest in the interconnections between man and nature.
