This paper aims to analyze the main features of the inflectional morphology of eight international auxiliary languages, a paradigmatic subgroup of the so-called a posteriori languages, a class of constructed languages. The selection of these languages -Volapük, Pasilingua, Esperanto, Lengua Católica, Langue Bleue, Idiom Neutral, Novial and Interlingua– is based on the fact that each of them is especially representative of the different observable tendencies in the construction of this type of languages. Therefore, the analysis will try to show the patterns that the creation of these languages follows, their common features, the differences between them and the way these languages face the semantic-grammatical problems of the human language in the field of morphology. This approach will try to judge about the process of construction of this type of languages and their relationship with natural languages.
