La labor de imagen política en la entrevista humorística: Andrea Levy y Pablo Iglesias
Abstract
This paper presents an analysis of the facework developed by two Spanish politicians in the context of a broadcasted humorous interview. Basing on the perspective pointed out by Charaudeau (2005), about the ethos, and the approach of Lakoff (2007), concerning the cognitive frames, and taking into account that all humorous interaction conveys a risk for the face of participants, the objective of this work has been twofold: on the one hand, to verify how politicians manages the effect of mockery towards their face in a sphere that is at the antipodes of the political one; on the other, to find out if the ideological positions of speakers play any role in the facework. In particular, we have focused on the interview with two Spanish politicians developed in the humorous radio program The Modern Life, broadcasted by SER Network: Pablo Iglesias, leader of Podemos, and Andrea Levy, member of the PP.
