Among the vocabulary collected over the centuries, ichthyonyms do not occupy a preferential place, but it can be said that they have been awakening a growing interest in the different stages of the history of Spanish. This paper surveys the textual history of Andalusian ichthyonyms as present in 24 administrative texts from the 13th to the 18th century. These documents are analysed in depth in accordance with their ample time lapse and special historical, social and linguistic interest.
