Abstract

The aim of this work is to show the different interpretations found in the Spanish lexicography about what a combinatory dictionary should be. Since there is no consensus on the object of this kind of dictionary, I will focus on the interpretation of collocations such as they are understood in the Explanatory and Combinatorial Lexicology (Mel’čuk 2012). After that, I will describe in detail the three current Spanish combinatory dictionaries (Redes, Práctico and DiCE). Finally, I will present the main features of a new online tool which is aimed to help to choose collocations in the writing process.
